Objectives: Since 2018, the workload in central sterilization services department (CSSD) has intensified as surgeries have increased. The extended operative time among complicated surgical cases also led to shortages of resterilized instruments. One factor influencing these was inadequate CSSD staff during high periods. We developed a strategy improve availability sought reduce wasted and effectiveness instrument preparation by adopting shift-work arrangement. additionally minimize unorganized instrumentation equipment loss. Methods: Team members investigated disproportion shift shift. devised practical arrangement for each work dividing manpower ratios based on workload. Results: period from 10:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m. most intense CSSD. However, 3 worked morning 2 evening (4:00 p.m.– 2.00 a.m.). reassigned 1 person 8.00 4.00 persons an extra 10:30 6:30 p.m . After readjustment, damage loss decreased 57 26 losses per year 2018 2021. In addition, productivity increased 85% 115%. Worker satisfaction improved >70%. Conclusions: Internal inconsistency concerning instrumental improper can affect surgery time. By addressing distribution labor, notably improved, with higher dramatic decrease
